Aix-en-Provence

Some pictures I took from the market yesterday morning. This one is held every day in the place
near the Mairie. I bought melon, strawberries, and the ususal suspects of assorted vegetables.
I also could not resist a bunch of tiny zucchini with their flowers attached. I stuffed these with goat cheese, breadcrumbs, fennel, olives, herbs de Provence and garlic, then sauteed them in olive oil and some rose. Delicious....

Venice: waterworld....

This morning at the open air market. A boat full of veggies, and a baby crossing the canal in a traghetto....

More reflections and water-stories.These are unaltered pictures of reflections in the canals- no tricks , no photo-shop, all water and light....

spring has sprung....

More pictures from the Market in Venice-

this time,

lovely wrapped blood oranges from Sicily!

And asparagus, both white & green...
Meanwhile, at the Palazzo Ducale, it's construction all the way!
This city is now a never-ending restoration site.

Even the domes of San Marco are getting the scaffold treatment.

A Magnificent Mimosa, already in full bloom...
