More pix from my rambles...
Things are quiet in the city now, a bit busier on the weekends, but happily back to normal. In the markets there are lots of artichokes, asparagus, both white and green, and strawberries, sometimes the tiny wild ones. We've been eating lots of artichokes, whenever possible and with everything, and lots of clams. the fish market sells lovely small multi-coloured ones with almost no grit.

Have some artichokes for me... I'm just back from the Cape, a week of awful awful awful food... glad to be home, where I can eat PROPERLY (though doubtless not up to the standards of Venice)!
