I have been blogged!

A truly ontological argument, 2007

The painting above is gouache watercolor and graphite on aluminium panel,
and is in a private collection.

The new project I am embarking on, as we speak, with hyper-talented Sci-Fi author Chris Moriarty has been publicly announced! Yes Maps of the Floating World is soon to be a reality!

One may read about in Chris' blog, found here:

For those not familiar with Chris' work, you are in for a treat. They are intricate detailed stories that delve into the fascinating worlds of complexity theory, and Artificial intelligence without sacrificing compelling characters, action and drama. the worlds created here are dazzlingly complete places and it is very easy to fall into them. While being about a biologically diverse future, it is one that emerges from our culture and the choices we are making now, and contain a deep understanding of our past history. They are also very funny.

When we met, it was clear that we needed to do something together, as our work has quite a few commonalities and our interests mesh really well. So we are.

It will be in the form of an on-line graphic novel, as much better described by Chris, on the blog noted above. I am much more of an image person, as we know. I'll let Chris do the talking...

However, I would like to say that this is going to be a really exciting project for me- something collaborative, something on-line, something directly narrative- all novelties for me, and very very thrilling indeed...

This is in the begining stages of evolution, so stay tuned for more!

Also On Chris' blog is an entry about the website Paleofuture. Really worth a look-see in my humble O. This diverting little venture delves into past images about the future- right up my alley really. The pictures are funny, touching and a bit sad.

How sweetly deluded we all are....
